Paducah Main Street is continuing its Partners in Paducah series with Broussard’s Cajun Cuisine. As a 2026 Platinum Sponsor, Broussard’s supports Paducah Main Street’s mission of growing, preserving, and celebrating Historic Downtown Paducah.
Broussard’s Cajun Cuisine first opened its doors in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, in 1986, bringing authentic Louisiana flavors, music, and culture to the region. Over the years, the restaurant became a beloved destination known for its atmosphere and commitment to quality Cajun cuisine. In 2020, Broussard’s expanded to Paducah under the leadership of Jason Coalter, opening its Downtown Paducah location and bringing a longtime regional favorite to Kentucky.
We recently spoke with Maebelle, manager of Broussard’s Downtown Paducah location, to learn more about the restaurant’s history and its investment in the future of Downtown Paducah.
For Maebelle, partnering with Paducah Main Street is about being part of something bigger than a single business. “Being involved with Main Street means connection,” she shared. “Downtown is alive, and it’s exciting to be part of everything happening here.”
That sense of togetherness is especially evident during community events like FNB Fridays After Five. Maebelle says the concert series creates energy throughout downtown and benefits businesses across the district.
Downtown Paducah continues to experience tremendous momentum, with new businesses opening, visitors discovering the area, and community events drawing people into the heart of the city. Maebelle believes that growth is only going to continue. “I think we’re going to see a lot more business, more restaurants opening, and more visitors stopping in Paducah and falling in love with what we have to offer,” she shared.
Looking ahead, she would love to see even more variety added to Downtown Paducah’s dining scene. “I’d love to see more fusion-style restaurants, Spanish or Mediterranean, more options for everyone to enjoy,” she said.
