The Lenox building development

An exciting new development is in progress on the sixth block of Broadway Street! The Dim Light is currently renovating The Lenox building, located at 620 Broadway Street. With an expected completion date later this year, the finished space will have three short-term residential units and an event space on the first floor.

The Lenox building

The Lenox renovation marks The Dim Light’s fourth investment project in Downtown Paducah. Although the renovation will bring modern aspects to the space, many elements original to the historic building will remain. The Lenox building was once a boarding house in the 1800s, and original items, such as the historic transom windows and claw foot tub, will bring character to the finished units.

The Broadway-facing first floor will soon be an event space complete with a lounge area, kitchenette, bathroom, flex space, and outdoor area. The space has two rooms that connect with an open walkway. Tables and chairs will be available to set up in the flex space, making the spot a perfect place for wedding showers, birthdays, office events, and other gatherings.

The building will have three short-term rentals. The two-bedroom unit on the first floor will sleep six and has a large living area, kitchen, and two access points to outdoor spaces. The one-bedroom unit on the first floor will sleep two and has a living and kitchen area, walk-in closet, laundry units, and a modern bathroom. Both downstairs units will have access to a sizable courtyard with an alleyway leading directly to Broadway.

Finally, the upstairs unit encompasses the entire second floor, with three bedrooms, three bathrooms, a theatre room, and a large gathering area adjacent to a spacious kitchen, and a rooftop courtyard. The upstairs unit will comfortably sleep eight.
